Mat TREIBER demos continue to be played on radio caroline. a second dj at the station, bob lawrence, requested material to air after hearing Mat's music played by dj peter antony. both djs of this popular and quite famous british radio station (established 1964) have been raving about Mat! both shows specialize in classic rock, frequently playing stones, lou reed, dylan, and today's established acts like richard ashcroft and oasis - in other words, the creme of rock music, yesterday and today. thank you radio caroline!

tuesday, november 27th, at 10 p.m., the Mat TREIBER group will play at the marquee club, 14 upper saint martins lane, london. as a rock n roll history buff, Mat is honored to do this gig! the club has just opened recently, and are invoking the marquee of the 1960's down to the 60's decor. (the rolling stones played the marquee quite a lot, and filmed a tv special there in 1970 performing songs from 'sticky fingers'. david bowie filmed his segment for the usa midnight special in the early 70's at london's marquee as well, performing 'space oddity'.) visit the marquee website, and watch a clip of another great american guitar player/singer/songwriter, playing with a british band, in 1967, against the beautiful red striped wall paper....jimi hendrix! http://www.myspace.com/themarqueeclub see you there!!!!!!!!!

the Mat TREIBER group will be playing at london's borderline club for the Christmas party, headlined by late 70's r'n'b white boys, the inmates. the inmates charted in the usa with their version of the standard 'dirty water' and 'the walk' back in 1979. london's borderline club is in soho and is a legendary hot spot. mat is thrilled to be playing at this christmas party. on stage at 8 pm sharp.

the Mat TREIBER group will be playing an additional london show in may - unadvertised - in south london's filthy mcnasty's on friday may 12. the club is run by writer and journalist terry rawlings. terry's famous for many rock books including the one about brian jones that was made into a film recently, his journalistic writings have appeared in mojo magazine and other publications. also on the bill supporting the Mat TREIBER group are the fore, a south london band with a sound that is similar to the early hamburg era beatles. they are a band building a big popularity...see their myspace page. sure to be a rocking night.
